A Note from Me...

Hello lovely blogger darlings,

You may have noticed a little bit of an update in the site.  (Massive thanks to my brother who took the incredible photos!)  And a little bit of a downgrade in the amount of posts.  Here is why:

School starts back up in the fall, and six posts a week is slightly challenging.  I want my reviews and recommendations to be the best that they can be, however, trying to add my final year of university classes onto six posts a week isn't going to work, so a new schedule is in the works that will include a Track on Tuesday every week, two book reviews, and an LP Saturday (or Sunday).

I'm sure there will be some playlists and a couple of giveaways here and there, but for now, that's how things are starting to roll.

Until next time,
read, listen, love,
-E

  1. Love the new look on your blog! I think I need pointers from you because it took me nearly 2 weeks just to get my latest post up. You are on FIRE sista! :)

  2. Hahaha, thanks you're so awesome! :) I just have a notebook full of reviews that I write immediately following when I finish reading the book, and then I get on on Sunday and pick two for the week and do like a "schedule-posting" of them, that way I'm not on here every day working on it hahaha. That's why I had to take a week off, I was running out of reviews! :) And I LOVE Zombie Mommies! You guys come up with the best stuff! I LOVED your FAB vs. DRAB post :) :) x

  3. Good idea on the schedule posting. I am trying to be a faster writer; it can take me up to 2 hours just to write my post! Of course, I get distracted by my kids...like EVERY 5 minutes...and blogger is seriously causing me headaches with it's formatting so I have to keep checking the "preview" and then edit it, and then check the preview...well...you get the point. ;) Thanks for loving our blog by the way!

  4. I KNOW! Blogger has been nasty that way lately. I don't know how you do it with kids! Talk about a SUPER-MOM :)

  5. Haha so funny. I'm NO super mom! But I did dress up as one for Halloween last year. ;) And I SHOULD be the one telling you you're super! Going to school AND blogging and reading? How ever do you have the time?! By the way, what are you studying in school?

  6. History and Theatre, the two things that are guaranteed to keep me living in a box (or my parents basement) for the rest of my life. Hahahaha :) Just kidding, I want to teach high school or college. I probably couldn't stop reading if I wanted to...it's totally an escape. I'm pretty sure the only thing that keeps me sane is blogging and reading, especially when school starts again. :)

  7. HAHAHAH! So funny...I love your majors. With theatre, does that mean acting or just studying it? I, myself, graduated in psychology...which also pretty much guarantees that I'll do nothing with it. Which, by the way, I haven't...Quite honestly, hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I just studied something I had a passion for...like writing or english or publishing or blogging (but then again that wasn't even invented yet when I was in school! ha!). Reading is my total escape too. It's something I've been passionate about since I could read. Where are you going to school?

  8. Both, I acted a lot when I was at Utah State, but I really liked the Director's side of things too. Right now I'm almost done Weber State (in Utah), and I'm starting to apply for grad school (because, why not at this point) and I'm seriously considering Berkeley, UCSD, or going over to the UK for a year and hammering it out at University of Manchester. My emphasis is English Literature, so I guess I kind of got the Literature part right. ;) I was an English major for a long time, and then I realized I liked writing papers the way I wanted to and not the way that someone else wanted to me to, and history let me do that lol
What about you? You mentioned UCLA right FAB vs DRAB right? Did you like it there?

  9. Grad school is a great idea and both Berkeley and UCSD are great schools...depends on the kind of city life you like. The Bay Area is more "happening" and San Diego is more mellow. Although I have to say, if you have the opportunity to live abroad, take it...it will be such a great experience. (If I could do it over again, I would have done a year abroad (london) or at least lived someplace different like NY. UCLA was fabulous; I really loved being there. There is so much energy on that campus and my classes were pretty good. And I loved being in West LA; definitely a college single life town. I miss it, but I wouldn't want to raise my family there. ;)
